While at Loyola Law School, Ms. Kimoto was a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and Pi Delta Phi Law Honor Society.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Kimoto obtained considerable business experience as an accountant. Ms. Kimoto was admitted to practice in California and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Japanese American Bar Association.
