Mr. Burch's practice includes fidelity and insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, banking and bank operations litigation, ERISA benefits litigation, business litigation, and intellectual property litigation. He has published extensively in the areas of fidelity insurance and insurance litigation. Mr. Burch joined the firm as an associate following his graduation from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in 1987. After a year with the firm, he worked for three years in Tokyo, Japan, in the legal section of Marubeni Hytech Corporation, a member of the Marubeni Group devoted to the semiconductor industry. Mr. Burch has been with the firm since his return to the United States in 1991. He is a member of the California and Colorado Bar Associations. He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from the Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1984. Mr. Burch speaks Japanese and Spanish.
